Hoping to see AMD and Intel pushing new stuff later this year. Seeing as I'm on X470 chipset and an R7 2700X I'm not in a huge hurry to upgrade, but I can cannibalize to upgrade another PC using this one's parts, and I can go higher end for my rig. The boost I'd get from a 5900X is really tempting, but if I wait out the next generation then maybe I won't feel like I'm upgrading myself into a corner right as they're moving toward new sockets. Been sort of wanting to upgrade to the upper tier of parts, but I really don't want to do that when I feel like it's a dead end and I'll need all-new stuff next time I upgrade.
